Two of Australia’s most beloved symbols - the iconic koala and the majestic Twelve Apostles—stand as powerful reminders of the continent’s extraordinary natural heritage. In the spirit of Anatomy for Everyone, the koala’s uniquely long cecum, stretching to around two metres in length, enables it to survive on tough, nutrient‑poor eucalyptus leaves, and its human‑like fingerprints set it apart anatomically. Meanwhile, the Twelve Apostles’ towering limestone stacks—sculpted over millions of years by relentless Southern Ocean erosion - rise from the coastline as geological counterparts to nature’s remarkable adaptations.
